The Transcendence of Sammy
The Transcendence of Sammy is mijn afstudeerfilm voor de opleiding Illustratie aan de Hogeschool van de Kunsten Utrecht. De film is onderdeel van de officiële selectie voor de Studentencompetitie van het Nederlands Film Festival 2023 en het Blikvangers Film Festival 2023, en tweede prijswinnaar van het Twente Short filmfestival 2024.
“Sammy is een olijke sinaasappel die in een blijkend perfecte wereld leeft. Maar zoals hij zal moeten leren, kan een perfecte wereld nooit echt bestaan.”

The Transcendence of Sammy is my graduation film for my bachelor’s degree in Illustration from the University of the Arts Utrecht. The film has been featured in the official selection of the 2023 Dutch Film Festival Student Competition, and the Blikvangers Film Festival 2023, and won second prize at the Twente Short Film festival 2024.
